As a model railway enthusiast, I
had looked around in various Facebook groups. Permanent annoyances were the
missionary attempts to persuade analogical drivers to use digitally
technology. That's why I founded a german speaking group for exclusively
analogical and electromechanical technology for Märklin H0 railways. I am using the term
“conventional” instead of “analog” as Märklin does in their product
documentations. My opinion about the term “analog” I wrote on the page “My view concerning the
term “ANALOG””. Facebook disapoints when it comes
to the possibilities of designing content. Therefore, I try to present my
past and future articles here in a better form. As I am a German travelling in
international groups too, I put this page parallel in German and English,
perhaps soon also Dutch, as there is a lot of interest there. I thank my friend Axel Wurl for
his support and help by translating these articles. |

What excites me about the railway,
what interests me, I show under "The Prototype". In the Facebook groups, where I’m
member of, I try to teach beginners the basic Märklin-knowledge
- to be found here in the topic complex "The very first basic knowledge about conventionally controlled Märklin
H0 model railways". I am of the opinion that almost
everything that is possible today with digitally model railways can also be
realised analogically - or better: - electromechanically. I try to prove this
in the topic "Circuits for advanced users - Automation of Processes". I have compiled the special
features of the 3 Märklin H0 track systems and those of the prototype under
"Special
knowledge about tracks". In 2022 I started planning my
layout, which shall fill an entire room. That was preceded by a long period
of reading and learning and thinking. The insights shall be presented in the
topic complex "Layout
planning and construction". From time to time, I have taken a
closer look at individual models in my Facebook group. Other authors do the
same. I gather these descriptions in the "Modelstock".
There you will also find product inserts as PDF files and a list of my
bookshelf. |
